DR. CHRIS MATRANGA
Chris Matranga is a research scientist collaborating closely with the Sabeti Group. Chris is interested in all things RNA, and its potential as a therapeutic tool and as a molecular target for the prevention and treatment of viral disease. A trained biochemist and molecular biologist, Chris received his PhD from UMass Medical School and was awarded an NRSA NIH fellowship for his postdoctoral studies at Yale University. He is currently working with the Molecular Biology R&D group in the Broad Technology Labs. Chris is developing methods that will support viral genomic projects in the Sabeti Lab.
When away from the bench, Chris enjoys spending time with his young family and playing ice hockey year round.
