Originally from Princeton, NJ, she recently graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Chemical and Physical Biology and Mathematics. Her dream has always been to use mathematical methods to study questions related to biology and infectious disease, and she is therefore very excited to work with Pardis and the rest of the members of the Sabeti lab. Currently, she is working with Elinor to use haplotype-based methods to study association in resistance to Lassa fever, and with Ilya to develop tools for localizing the causal SNP in a selective sweep.
When not in lab, Shari is probably running or reading War and Peace (though she's almost done!). |
