Rachel graduated from Northeastern University in 2018 with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience. During her time there, she worked in the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences where she studied Trace Amine-Associated Receptors (TAAR) and their role in psychiatric, immune, and gastrointestinal disorders. Specifically, Rachel investigated TAAR regulation of astrocyte glutamate transporters as part of an independent project aimed at identifying new molecular targets for schizophrenia pharmaceuticals.
Rachel began working at the Broad Institute in 2018 as part of a joint collaboration between the Sabeti Lab and the Vector Engineering Group led by Ben Deverman in the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research.
