MAHAN NEKOUI, MD

mahan

Mahan Nekoui was an undergraduate researcher from 2013 to 2017 while at Harvard University. His research focused on computational techniques for viral sequencing and international collaborations. He led a project to deploy on-site sequencing capacities and sequence novel Ebola samples at Universite Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) in Senegal. He completed an undergraduate thesis on the evolution of the Lassa virus and received summa cum laude graduation honors.

He matriculated to Harvard Medical School and is now an Internal Medicine Resident Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also a research associate at the Ellinor Lab & Cardiovascular Disease Initiative at the Broad Institute.
