Bennett Shaw is a clinical research assistant in the Division of Infectious Disease at Massachussetts General Hospital working as an associated researcher in the Sabeti Lab. He holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Spanish from Emory University, and harbors interests in infectious disease, disease ecology, genomic epidemiology, medicine and clinical research. His work in the Sabeti Lab focuses on molecular diagnostic development and genomic investigations of both COVID-19 and tick-borne diseases. Bennett hopes to pursue an MD/PhD and a career in academic medicine centered around infectious disease. In his free time he trains and competes as a competitive marathoner.
