Erica Normandin is a PhD student in the Systems Biology program at Harvard. She plans to apply her interests in virology and computational biology to study the evolution of Powassan Virus, an emerging tick-borne flavivirus.
Erica has a B.A. in Biomedical Engineering from Dartmouth College. There, she completed a thesis in Margie Ackerman’s Lab, studying immune response to HIV. Subsequently, she studied the immune response to various human pathogens in John Mascola’s Lab at the NIH’s Vaccine Research Center.
