Maya Razmi was a research associate in the Sabeti Lab. In the lab, she worked on utilizing beads to improve CRISPR/Cas13 diagnostic technologies, with a passion for integrating bioengineering with global health. Dedicated toward health equity, she hopes to merge these interests in a career in medicine.
Maya graduated from Harvard College in 2022 with an A.B. in Social Studies and a Focus Field of Health and Inequality in the United States. During her time at Harvard, she explored applications of nanoparticles in cancer and as a vaccine for SARS CoV-2. Prior, she engineered liposomal nano-vehicles to mitigate thrombosis at Case Western Reserve University.
Outside of the lab, Maya enjoys advising Harvard undergraduates in Dunster House, finding new trails to hike around Boston, and practicing various martial arts.
