Natalia Wewior is the IRB and legal agreement coordinator for the Sabeti group. Natalia received her undergraduate degree from Boston University, where she studied biochemistry. Upon graduating, Natalia worked in the department of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases at a high volume teaching hospital located in the Texas Medical Center. As a research assistant, Natalia facilitated patient enrollment and maintained data reports for observational studies.
Natalia graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health with a Master of Bioethics degree. She is particularly drawn to the ethical challenges borne to the operationalization of emerging technologies. Natalia wrote her thesis about maximizing the uptake and access of genome editing as a prevention and treatment of disease, highlighting utilitarian ethics and theories of justice. Natalia is eager to advocate for ethically sound research that drives equity forward policies.
Outside of the lab, Natalia loves to explore different museums and frequent the Boston Public Garden.
