SIMON YE

Andrew

Simon is a Ph.D. candidate in the Medical Engineering and Medical Physics Program of the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) department. His current research area is on experimental and computational methods for metagenomic sequencing, with a focus on applications for disease diagnostics and surveillance. Currently his work is being supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.

Simon graduated with a B.S. Computer Science and B.S. Biological Chemistry from Stanford University. Previously, he was a Software Engineer at Google X working on Google Glass and was a past fellow at Lightspeed Venture Partners. He has also interned at Sandia National Labs where he worked on computational chemistry of novel polymers.
